Paint Correction

Paint correction is the process of removing surface defects from a vehicle's clear coat using machine polishing. Defects include swirl marks, fine scratches, water spots, oxidation, and buffer trails. The goal is to restore the paint to a flawless, mirror-like finish.

The number of stages depends on the severity of the defects. Stage 1 (enhancement) is for light swirls and minor imperfections. Stage 2 (correction) removes moderate scratches and oxidation. Stage 3 (full correction) is for severe paint damage and can remove up to 95% of all defects. We assess every vehicle before recommending a stage.

Paint correction can remove defects that are within the clear coat layer. Deep scratches that penetrate through the clear coat and into the base coat or primer cannot be removed by polishing — they require touch-up paint or respray. We will assess your paint and give you an honest evaluation before any work begins.

Depending on the stage and vehicle size, paint correction can take anywhere from 4 hours (Stage 1 on a small car) to 2-3 days (Stage 3 full correction on a large SUV or truck). We will give you a time estimate during your consultation.

Ceramic Coating

Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds with your vehicle's factory paint, creating a semi-permanent layer of protection. Unlike wax or sealant, it doesn't wash away. Our CS-II coatings come in 1–2 year, 3-year, and 5–7 year tiers. Richard personally guarantees the longevity of every coating — up to 5–7 years — as long as the owner commits to regular washing to maintain the hydrophobic bond.

CS-II is a professional-grade ceramic coating brand. Richard is the US distributor and trainer for CS-II — and contributed to the R&D of the product line itself, joining the team in 2015. He didn't come on board as a regular installer; he helped develop the product and trains other professionals on proper application. Professional-grade coatings offer significantly better hardness, hydrophobicity, and longevity than consumer-grade products available at auto parts stores.

Yes, in most cases. Ceramic coating locks in whatever condition your paint is in at the time of application. If your paint has swirl marks or scratches, the coating will seal them in permanently. We always recommend at least a Stage 1 enhancement polish before any ceramic coating application. There is also an important caveat: if your car already has any previously applied protection — whether from a prior detailer, a dealer-applied coating, or even a factory sealant — we will often need to polish that layer off first before we can properly bond the new ceramic coating. Coating on top of an existing coating can compromise adhesion and longevity.

Ceramic-coated vehicles are much easier to maintain than uncoated cars. Regular hand washing with a pH-neutral car shampoo is recommended. Avoid automatic car washes with brushes, as they can introduce swirl marks. We recommend a maintenance detail every 6-12 months to keep the coating performing at its best.

Paint Protection Film (PPF)

Paint Protection Film (PPF), also known as clear bra, is a thermoplastic urethane film applied to the exterior of a vehicle to protect the paint from rock chips, road debris, bug splatter, and minor abrasions. Modern PPF is virtually invisible, self-healing (minor scratches disappear with heat), and can be removed without damaging the paint underneath.

PPF and ceramic coating serve different purposes. PPF provides physical protection against rock chips and road debris. Ceramic coating provides chemical protection and enhances gloss. Many clients choose to do both: PPF on high-impact areas (front bumper, hood, mirrors) and ceramic coating over the entire vehicle for the best of both worlds.
